Frequently Asked Questions
What kind of student is Oxbridge looking for?
Every candidate is unique and brings his or her particular academic and personal strengths to the admission process. The Oxbridge admission committee will be looking for students who have a 3.0 or better GPA; above average to superior standardized testing; teacher recommendations that reflect a strong desire to learn, potential for growth, and the ability to work well with others; and an interview that demonstrates an ability to articulate ideas, a strong work ethic, desire to contribute to several areas of school life, and good character.
How are the different aspects of the application weighted?
The interview, teacher assessments, and transcript will be given equal consideration. The SSAT test score is weighed in light of a student's overall educational experience and socio-economic background. Each of these tools will help Oxbridge determine if the school is the right fit for your child, and therefore ensure that your child will thrive in our program. Consideration is also given to the potential impact a candidate could have on our myriad programs in the arts, athletics, clubs, and activities.
Which admission test does Oxbridge require and how do we get the results to the school?
We require that every candidate take the Secondary School Admission Test (SSAT). Please visit ssat.org to see when and where the test will be administered in your area. It often takes SSAT two to three weeks to send Oxbridge results, so plan accordingly to meet our admission deadlines. The Oxbridge code for SSAT is 5620.
When can I tour the campus?
Tours can be arranged with Chris Marino or by calling 561-972-9617.
What kind of financial aid is available?
With an annual tuition of $15,000 and absolutely no fees--we provide each student with a MacBook Pro, breakfast, lunch, and snacks, transportation and books at no charge--we are doing our part to make Oxbridge affordable to all. Still, we understand that many families may find it difficult to afford us, so we offer one of the most generous need-based financial aid programs in the nation. Simply put, if you show the documented need, we will meet that need. And every candidate will be judged on his or her own merits, not on whether the family can pay full tuition.
